Laboratory

      Hampton Veterinary Hospital has a modern and well equipped, in-house laboratory to aid in diagnosing your pet.  Results can be obtained rapidly if needed, which is often critical in emergency situations.  We also utilize an outside laboratory for additional diagnostics with results available in as little as 24 hours.

      Laboratory services include but are not limited to:

  •  Fecal analysis for intestinal parasites and bacterial overgrowth

  •  Urinalysis

  •  Complete blood count, chemistries, electrolytes, thyroid testing

  •  Vaccination titer testing

  •  FELV/FIV/Heartworm testing for cats

  •  Heartworm/Lyme/Ehrlichia/Anaplasmosis testing

  •  Bacterial Culture and Sensitivity, Fungal Culture supply625

  •  Cytology of skin and ears

  •  Histopathology of tumors

  •  Endocrine system testing

Radiology

      We offer in house radiographic services.  We take quality radiographs quickly and efficiently ensuring your pet is not put under any additional stress.  Our technicians and doctors are well trained ensuring a proper diagnosis of your pet is made.  We also work closely with local specialists if additional diagnostics, such as a CT, MRI, or ultrasound, are needed.

Electrocardiogram and Blood Pressure and Pulse Oximetry

      Our minimally invasive in house EKG, Pulse oximetry and blood pressure machines helps us to evaluate your pet’s cardiac function, blood pressure, and oxygenation accurately and quickly so your pet does not feel any discomfort and get stressed.
