Veterinary Assistant

McKayla officially joined the HVH family in December 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Plymouth State University. Her diverse professional background spans both freshwater and marine biology, providing her with a unique scientific perspective that she has applied to the veterinary field over the past year. Driven by a desire to combine her academic foundation with hands-on clinical work, McKayla is currently aspiring to become a Certified Veterinary Technician.

She is passionate about integrating her love for science with high-quality animal care and treatment, ensuring every patient receives thoughtful and informed attention.

When she isn't assisting with patients, McKayla stays connected to her roots in biology through her love for the outdoors. You can often find her hiking and taking long walks along beaches and rivers, searching for unique rocks and shells to add to her collection, building intricate Lego sets or diving into video games, and scouring local thrift stores for hidden gems.
