Lead with Compassion: Associate Veterinarian at Hampton Veterinary Hospital
Are you tired of corporate quotas and looking for a practice that prioritizes medicine over metrics?
At Hampton Veterinary Hospital, we believe that being a doctor should feel like a calling, not a grind. We are a premier, 100% privately owned, three-doctor practice on the beautiful NH Seacoast, and we are looking for an Associate DVM who is passionate about high-quality medicine and building lifelong bonds with clients.
If you’re looking for a collaborative, supportive environment where your clinical autonomy is respected and your well-being matters, you’ve found your new home.
The Hampton Vet Difference
- Clinical Autonomy: We don’t believe in "cookie-cutter" medicine. Here, you have the freedom to practice the way you were trained, with the support of a team that trusts your expertise.
- True Work-Life Balance: Burnout is real, and we fight it by offering a no-weekends schedule. We want you to be as present for your own family as you are for our patients.
- A Supportive Ecosystem: Our doctors are supported by an incredible team of experienced CVTs and assistants. We maintain a high staff-to-doctor ratio so you can focus on what you do best: diagnosing, treating, and surgery.
- Legacy of Care: We are deep-rooted in the Hampton community. We aren't just treating pets; we are caring for our neighbors.
The Perks & Benefits
We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support your professional and personal life:
- Compensation: Highly competitive salary, negotiable based on experience (Pro-Sal options available).
- Time Off: Generous PTO and paid holidays.
- Health & Security: Health/dental insurance, short-term disability, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Professional Growth: Generous Continuing Education (CE) allowance and paid time off for conferences.
- Dues & Licenses: We cover your state license, DEA, and professional association dues (AVMA, NHVMA, etc.).
- Pet Discounts: Significant savings for your own furry family members.
What You’ll Do
As an Associate DVM at HVH, you will be an integral leader in our hospital. Your role includes:
- Comprehensive Medicine: Managing a diverse caseload of wellness and sick visits for dogs and cats.
- Surgery & Dentistry: Performing soft tissue surgery and dental procedures in our well-equipped surgical suite.
- Client Partnership: Taking the time to educate pet parents, empowering them to make the best decisions for their pets’ health.
- Collaborative Leadership: Mentoring our talented technical staff and contributing to a positive, growth-oriented hospital culture.
- The "All-In" Spirit: Leading by example in our "all-hands-on-deck" environment, where every role—from reception to surgery—is valued.
Who You Are
- Experienced or Emerging: We welcome experienced DVMs looking for a better culture, or motivated new graduates seeking strong mentorship.
- Compassionate: You have a genuine love for animals and a "bedside manner" that puts clients at ease.
- A Strong Communicator: You enjoy the human element of veterinary medicine and believe in clear, empathetic education.
- A Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment where mutual respect is the baseline.
